What did I learn today?
Grade Level(s): K
By: Amy Koch, kindergarten teacher

I run off a large blank calendar for each child. We then record an activity at the end of the day in each square to let parents know and review what we did that day at school.

Materials:

  • calendar with large sections for writing or drawing a small picture

Plan:

Create a learning log by recording at the end of each day the highlights of what you did in your room.

  1. Brainstorm with the kids by saying... "Hey what do you say, This is what I learned in school today."
  2. Record ideas and pictures.
  3. Monthly calendars can be sent home weekly, daily or whatever you think your kids can be responsible for.

Great for communication between you and parents!
