Life in a Castle
Grade Level(s): 3-5
By: Enola, high school teacher

The students will be able to understand and write about life in a castle.

Materials:

Plan:

Students will learn about life in castles themselves by reading or through the teacher through lecture or other type of teaching. After they have learned the basics, students will use their new knowledge.

Students will pretend to write to someone close to them. The letter will detail their life in the castle. Some letters are often very imaginative- especially when you tell them the true purpose of the moat or the fact that animals often stayed in the castles.

Let volunteers read their letters.

Comments:

This lesson can be done in under 30 minutes.
